Nai Museum Proposal

Instructor | Elena Manferdini

Sao Paolo, Brazil

A museum that has a murky florescent gradient transparency facade that interacts with the artwork. It also has a muted volume leaning on it that houses a glass display of the museum's valued treasures. The sloped plynth also creates an in between space that frames the museum within the city. It is also known as the Unnatural Museum of Art.

The project began with a set of shape studies with the ground to analyze the purpose of the ground in this project. It also looked into a few precedent studies of Eisenman, Wright, and Mies with their approach to dealing with the ground. This project combines all 3 by  two kinds of submersion in the ground, and the introduction of a stage.
