Cal Baptist University's new Library Annex and Learning Commons is located at the heart of campus to provide students with dynamic learning spaces to accommodate both introvert and extrovert learners.

The building program is centralized with an active illuminating vertical stair that not only houses books and study nooks, but it also connects students on all floors to each other. The library also contains a cafe component to provide convenience and efficiency while studying. The organization of the program is solely focused on the experience of the learner. The first floor is the active zone drawing in students from different parts of the campus to a central meeting zone. The second floor is the transitional zone where students can meet in groups to have group studies and work together. The third floor is the focused zone for a quiet learning environment.
